General Description

Oblong ovate leaves and erect light green stems topped with purple flowers.

Slugs, bud eelworms and glasshouse red spider mite.
Habitat
Wet meadows and along stream banks at an altitude of 2,200-2,500 m.
Leaf Description
Elliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, a rounded apex and 11-15 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 7-18 x 4-8 cm. Leaves are grouped together to form a rosette.
Flower Description
Purplish-pink with a red or purple eye.
Propagation
Division in early spring or seeds sown in autumn.
