General Description
Miscanthus sinensis 'Grosse Fontäne' is a tall ornamental grass with upright stems and green foliage turning orange, red and purple in autumn and feather-like pink flower heads turning silver.
Landscape
This ornamental grass cultivar provides height and textural interest to any landscape. Use in borders and beds, for privacy or in a cottage or coastal garden. Also great for urban locations as it is tolerant of air pollution and low maintenance.
Cultivation
Grow in full sun, in moist, well-drained soil. Remove dead foliage and stems in spring to encourage new growth. Protect from excess moisture in winter.
