General Description
Gunnera magellanica is a mat-forming perennial with deep green leaves and clusters of unisexual flowers.
Landscape
Can be used as ground cover, in a woodland garden or in partially shady locations.

Somewhat cupped, kidney-shaped, 5 - 9 cm in width, deep green, margins scalloped.
Flower Description
Individual plants have either male or female flowers (having either stamens or pistils), arranged in loose branching clusters.
Fruit Description
Ovoid to globose, up to 5 mm in diameter, orange to red in colour.
