Bark/Stem Description
Smooth, grey becoming dark and furrowed as it matures with yellowish-grey or brown, glabrous branchlets.
Flower/Leaf Bud Description
Red, 3-7 mm.
Leaf Description
Elliptic, obovate or orbicular, a pointed apex, 5-8 triangular lobes, dark green with a paler underside with a cuneate base and 3-5 veins on either side of the midvein, 5-10 x 5-11 cm.
Fruit Description
Acorn, ovoid to ellipsoid, 1.2-1.8 cm in length.
