General Description |
Many species of Banksia produce lignotubers which enable they to survive fires, Banksia praemorsa does not produce lignotubers and thus is quite sensitive to harsh brush fires. |

Cultivation |
Full sun and partial-shade. Well-drained soil with acid, neutral and alkaline pH. Prefers sandy, clay, loamy, sandy loam and clay loam soils. Tolerates light frost. |

Sea-facing side of sand dunes, sand cliffs and hills over limestone. |

Broad leaves of about 5 cm in length, 1.5 cm in width, have toothed margins and truncated ends. |

Cylindrical-shaped with occasional variations. 35 cm long and 10 cm in diameter. Flowers bloom in August to November. The flower spikes arise from the ends of small lateral branches |
