General Description
Caragana frutex is a perennial, woody shrub with yellow flowers.
Landscape
Low hedges and garden planting.
Cultivation
Full sun and partial shade. Prefers dry to average moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant.

Pea-like flowers that hang below the branches.
Fruit Description
Unilocular, elongate or oblong, beaked and glabrous. Each fruit contains 3 - 10 seeds which have an ovoid to round outline.
Colour Description
The flower petals are orange or yellow. The fruit is an olive green or brownish-black. The leaves are a light green almost faint yellow.

The fruit has a smooth texture.
