Description and Growing Information

Cultivation
Full sun and partial-shade. Moist, well-drained soils with acidic and mildly acidic pH. Tolerates light frost.

Bark/Stem Description
Slender with distinctive "coin spots" where old fronds have broken off. Apex of trunk and unfurling crosiers, covered with long silky scales.
Leaf Description
Fronds that are 4 - 6 m in length.
Flower Description
Inflorescences are compound and composed of rames. Central inflorescence axis are 40 - 90 cm long.
Colour Description
The fronds are bright green in colour. The scales on the bark are straw coloured. Can rarely be found as a pale pink with orange stripes going down the middle.
