General Description
A very large evergreen tree with huge broad leaves.
Landscape
As a specimen or as a flowering tree centrepiece in a large-scale garden.
Cultivation
Grow under full sun to partial shade in moist, humus-rich soils of any acidity. Keep sheltered from strong winds.

Upright pyramidal with a spreading rounding crown.

Smooth slightly exfoliating bark with slight moss-like discolourations.
Leaf Description
Very large oblong-ovate leaves that can grow up to 60 cm long and 40 cm wide.

Cone-like sphere-shaped fruits appear once the blooms fall.
Colour Description
Leaves are lush green on the upperside and silvery-green on the underside. Bark is a greyish-brown with slight pastel green discolourations. Stems are greenish-brown. New growth is lush green. Blooms are rose-white with purple near the middle. Red fruits.
