Cultivation
Plant in full sun to partial shade in extremely well-draining soil, with loose gravel added to aid in drainage.

Colour Description
Deep green succulent flesh covered in white spines that fade to a golden brown. Blooms are scarlet red to brick-red in colour with golden yellow stamens.
Texture Description
Smooth and leathery to coarse and spiny.
