Prefers well drained, neutral to acid soils and full sun, and sheltered from cold winds.
Leaf Description
The oval leaves are green and 15-20 cm long.
Flower Description
The large, showy flowers are white with pale pink centres and fragrant. They are cup-shaped with 9-12 petals and 30 cm across. The flower often opens before the leaves.

The fruit is colourful and cone-shaped.
