General Description
A short, bushy perennial. The tops of the leaves have a bright green colouring, while the undersides have a varying red-brown hue. White flowers bloom in the spring.

Cultivation
Full sun and partial-shade. Well-drained soil with a pH of 5.6 - 7.5. Prefers sandy, clay-loam soils.

Nematodes and spider mites. Caterpillars can be a problem. May be subject to powdery mildews, stem rot and rhizome rot.

Originally found in sub-tropical environments preferring moderate tropical heat.
