Description and Information
The Great Flat Lode lies under the southern granite slopes of Carn Brea. A dilapidated mining structure sits among the open hills with a cluster of other broken buildings. A 12km trail encircles the carn, the hill that overlooks the town, and through a mixture of farmland and moorland. Vines and climbers have overgrown a large portion of the structures, though the stone chimneys stand defiantly against the erosion.
