The Canada Garden, at the international exhibition Japan Flora 2000, was designed and installed by the Niagara Parks Commission. Out of the 80 gardens in competition, Canada took one of two top prizes, 3 best prizes, 2 honours, and 36 medals (3 gold, 8 silver, 25 bronze). The garden was permanently incorporated into the Awaji Landscape Planning and Horticulture Academy.
